"We Don't Have to Carry Our Burdens Alone" Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We are indeed in the midst of some uncertain times, like so many we continue to experienced quite a few "starts and stops" in our struggle to find some sense of normal again while still feeling the aftermath of the 2020 world-wide pandemic. It's been quite a "dark cloud" that has been slow in lifting and has resulted in many of us being uprooted and facing much uncertainty. While we hope 2024 will be filled with a renewed hope, often our faith is challenged as we have all endured much. Over the past three years we have witnessed the untimely loss of loved ones, the onset of illnesses, sudden financial ruins, broken family relationships and even the end to friendships. These times have been history in the making and the battle scars are evident. So how do we keep starting over again and pressing forward, when we have suffered so many setbacks? First we must realize, we do not have to carry our burdens alone. We need only to know the One who is able to comfort, heal, deliver, and restore our lives. His name is Jesus and he is able to make us whole again. In others words the burdens so many of us are carrying are burdens we cannot bear alone, the unpredictable circumstances we now find ourselves in, will take God's divine intervention. It is time for us to cast our cares and burdens on the Lord. Are you feeling weak and heavy laden right now? Then Let Go, and Let God! In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus speaks to those heavy in heart... "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." That's the answer beloved; we must give our burdens to Jesus. Tell Him the load is too heavy, and allow Him to carry us. It's time we allow ourselves to see His “Footprints in the Sand.” Be Blessed, Pastor Melvin |
